Celebrating food forests: sustainability, food security, community

🫐 Please join our State Delegate Lorig Charkoudian, the Community Food Forest Collective, and the Montgomery College Student Permaculture Club for a celebration of food forests, sustainability, community and food security 🌸

There will be tours of the food forest, a panel discussion with local food and urban agriculture experts, a raffle, a kids seed sowing activity, and light snacks.

When: Saturday, July 12th, 10am-12pm

🌳 Where: Montgomery College, 7625 Fenton Street, Takoma Park, MD, 20912

Schedule:

10am-10.45am: Check-in followed by a 45-minute food forest tour OR 45-minute gardening activity

11am-11.30am: Panel discussion & light snacks (kids will be able to sow seeds into the food forest during this time)

11.30am-12pm: Q&A in the food forest, plus seed sharing by the Community Food Forest Collective
